Enrique is a Spanish figurative artist and creative researcher based in London, England. His work captures the intricate and often conflicting facets of human experience, exploring themes of vulnerability, strength, and the interplay between emotional intensity and quiet introspection. With an approach that prioritizes emotional authenticity over traditional technique, Enrique’s art transforms raw materials into visual narratives, challenging viewers to confront both beauty and discomfort.

From experimenting with thickened gouache, textured resins and layering of oil pigments, wax and powders, to the intentional use of color and contrast, Enrique transforms his pieces into immersive narratives that challenge and engage his audience. 

 

 

Education and Collaborations

Enrique graduated from the Art Academy of London in 2023, where he refined his technical skill and artistic vision. His career has been shaped by collaborations with key artistic institutions, including the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia, and the Kunstfuck Art Residency in Budapest, Hungary. He collaborates and frequently engages in creative projects at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, contributing to one of Spain’s most prestigious artistic institutions. These experiences, along with creative work in Vienna, Berlin, Lisbon, and different parts of Australia and New Zealand, have provided Enrique with a rich tapestry of influences that continue to shape his practice.
